TMSC International Book Review: The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John C. Bogle

The Little Book Big Profits Series has three books:
  1. The Little Book That Beats The Market,
  2. The Little Book of Value Investing, and
  3. The Little Book of Common Sense Investing.
The Little Book of Common Sense Investing has quotes through out the book that help you remember the concepts. One concept that is repeated throughout the book is:
For every winner, there must be a loser.
The book teaches index investing and a great concept put into a quote:
If I “could only explain things to enough people, carefully enough, thoroughly enough, thoughtfully enough-why, eventually everyone would see, and then everything would be fixed.”
The book also shows that these money making theories are not new. from Other People’s Money, by Louis D. Brandeis first published in 1914 to the formation of the first balanced index fund in 1990.
Investing can become fashion and fad, when real formulas are needed.
John C. Bogle the author is the Founder and former CEO of the Vanguard Mutual Fund Group.
